The Andreas Reinsch Project is pleased to exhibit recent artwork by Detlef Günther. He will present work from his “Mirandola” series, as well as large scale paintings from his “Volume” series. The work will be on view until the beginning of January, 2020.
Günther’s work from his “Mirandola” series are small, intimate and delicate. He uses transparent paper, acrylic and wax, applying these materials to small canvases which creates tactile works with a skin-like texture. Wrinkles, small imperfections, as well as their multi-layered surfaces, add to their mysterious feel. Their small size, as well as their softly blurred text and drawings draw the viewer in for closer examination and contemplation.
